Appointed Missionaries to Lithuania, thru WorldVenture Littleton Co.
Mark is married to Maurene; they have two grown daughters Erin and Nicole.
They have worked with high school youth most of there married life. Ministering to youth has been their calling for almost twenty years. During that time God has given them opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with hundreds of youth.
Mark at the age of fifteen went on his first mission’s trip. During that time he felt that God was calling him to missions.
During a college and career bible study Mark met Maurene and they were married a year later 1978, and went in to helping the youth pastor at Peoples Church [Jim Smith]. Mark and Maurene helped with Sunday school and Wednesday night bible study and youth retreats. They led studies in the absence of Jim.
Maurene started the first fall harvest for the children of the church, an alternative for trick of treating. Maurene was also the bible school director. When they moved to Fort Atkinson they got involved immediately with the school at Faith Community. Maurene became the director of Bible school and started their first harvest festival She also volunteered as a teacher’s helper in the school.
Mark has served on the deacon committee and on the board of Faith Community School.
Mark and Maurene have attended many training seminars over the years:
National Youth Workers Convention in St. Louis Mo.
Semp- Students equipped to minister to their peers.
Wheaton College by SonLife ministries.
Connect- Elmbrook church in Brookfield
For the last ten years they have been involved with a short-term mission’s project from Faith Community in Fort Atkinson, Discovery Camp in Lithuania. They have had the opportunity to lead, train, coordinate, and facilitate all parts of this short team outreach to the teens of that country. God has also opened the doors to other fields in Lithuania, Discipleship Classes; lead teems in D.V.B.S. at an orphanage there.
With our past experiences God has blessed us and we have a responsibility to Him to continue to show the love of Jesus to all around us. We are humbled to have the opportunity to work with the youth of Rock Valley Chapel. May God Bless this endeavor.
In Christ
