We are a church committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus the Messiah and making disciples of Jesus our Redeemer (Matthew 28:18-20). We are about becoming...growing as...and making...disciples of Jesus Christ...one heart at a time. We seek to accomplish this by developing relationships as learners, mentors and sharers of the Gospel to those who know and those who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
We yearn to be vessels of Christ-exalting joy both in Beloit, to the state-line community and to the world so that by God’s grace at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father (Phil. 2:10-11)
So with open arms, we want to extend to you an invitation to come and hear the Gospel at Rock Valley Chapel! Service time is 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings, with a refreshment gathering at 10 a.m. and Sunday school (adult, youth, and child) at 9 a.m.
Pastor Tim Johnson’s current sermon series is a biblical exposition of Acts entitled “Turning the World Upside Down With the Gospel.” The book of Acts describes how the early followers of Jesus the Messiah, guided by the Holy Spirit, became Jesus' visible gathering of believers on earth. Acts fundamentally declares that by the power of the Holy Spirit, the Church, which is the Bride of Jesus, is called to proclaim repentance and forgiveness of sins to a lost world. The Church bears witnesses to the unfathomable truth that Jesus, as God, is capable of forgiving us of our sins thereby granting us a new life today and a guaranteed place in heaven for eternity through faith alone in Jesus. This is the Gospel, which, when proclaimed and lived out will "turn the world upside down" for God's glory alone (Acts 17:6).
We hope to see you soon. To God be the glory!
