2013 Easter Service

Rock Valley Chapel and the Beloit College chapter of the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship announce they will be conducting Easter Service at Beloit College’s historic Eaton Chapel. The service will begin at 11:00 AM at Eaton Chapel, and will be followed by some light refreshments in the basement of Eaton Chapel.

Rock Valley Chapel is an evangelical church that worships on the north side of Beloit off of Shopiere Road. Senior Pastor Tim Johnson noted that this was a collaborative effort involving the Intervarsity Chapter leader, Casey Ehlers, who is also the Youth Pastor at Rock Valley Chapel, the chapter’s student President, Lily Zeich, and Beloit College’s Spiritual Life Director, Bill Connover.

Johnson said, “From the very beginning of the planning process, our Worship Pastor, Tom Hilker, has worked side by side with campus students. Together they have crafted a service that will celebrate the life-changing message of Easter.

The service will include inspiring choral arrangements, classic hymnody and driving contemporary songs all of which, combined with Scripture readings and the sermon, will proclaim the power of the resurrection that has changed the world. We are praying that many students who will be on campus for Easter Sunday will take this opportunity to experience a special Christian service on their own campus.

We hope that curious staff and others in the Beloit community will join us in celebrating the great message of Jesus Christ’s resurrection.”
